Matthew 2:11-15
Christmas is past. It's a great time to reflect on the things that happened throughout the year. We can't wallow in our mistakes but we can sure learn from them. God gives us ample warnings so that we will not make mistakes in our lives.
God warns us to change the direction of our lives sometimes.
The birth of the Messiah had already taken place. Probably about two years had gone by, (v.12).
The wise men had come from very far with only one purpose in mind.

#1). When it was time to leave, God warned them. "They departed to their own country another way".
- God always warns us when we are in danger.
- He warned Paul with the light from heaven,
- He warned Jonah in the time in the fishes mouth,
- He warned Saul,
- He warned David,
Has God perhaps send you warning symbols, maybe through a crisis or a setback or a man or a woman of God? Meeting Christ should change the direction of our lives.

#2) Gods warnings are intended to deliver us from the destroyer, (1 John 3:8). Look at how cunning the devil is (he is cunning and looking for whom he may devour).
A. The wise men noticed the star all the way from their own country, they came a long way.
B. They made a lot of noise when they got to
The king said to them; :"Go seek diligently for the child and when you find Him let me know so that I to may come and worship Him", (V.8). But what he really wanted to do was to kill Him, John 10:10. What does he what to steal, kill and destroy?...................................................................
- They were warned in "a dream".
- There are many different ways in which God may warn us when we may be facing danger.
- He warns us through His word.
- He warn us through other men and women of God,
- He warns us through the gifts of the Holy Spirit like through the Spirit of discernment, the gift of prophecy.
- He warns us through dreams, doesn't the Bible say that in the last days.
#3) Gods warnings are to direct us into the design of His word. (v.15), "that it might be fulfilled". God intends to bring our lives into line with His word.
- God intends to bring our lives into line with His perfect will for our lives.
- God intends to bring our lives in line with Him, In perfect fellowship, in a good solid relationship with Him, in worship, in prayer.
ARE YOU WILLING TO LET HIM DIRECT YOUR PATH THIS COMING YEAR AND LEARN FROM YOUR PAST MISTAKES? And heed His warnings?,
