JD wrote: "My first reaction is: Why would Jesus need to be born again? Is this some type of Modalism that denies the full deity of Jesus?"

Taz: Would the "FULL" Deity of Jesus be at risk if one believes that Jesus became impure by taking our sins and became complete at his resurrection rather than his death?

I read that he was sitting at his kitchen table, talking to his wife Oretha...when he slumped over from a heart attack...he was in a coma and they turned off the life support...I put a link to it on the message board...

I do not listen to the Word of Faith ministers anymore either, seeing that these people believe that Jesus also became a demonic being while he was on the cross. Kenneth Hagin who is responsible for spreading this doctrine died on 9/19/03. Does anyone out there know what he died of? The media keeps saying that the cause of death is undisclosed. this might be because kenneth hagin was a faith healer. if you know i would like to know.

OK basically its this; they believe that when Jesus died on the cross he then went into hell and had to 'endure' physical pain and torture and then whilst still in hell was spiritually born again. As far as I'm aware there are no scriptures that directly state that Jesus suffered in hell. The reason they believe he had to suffer in hell was because to them the cross wasn't sufficient enough and so therefore only experiencing and overcoming the torments of hell could you and I now be saved. Word faith has its grounding in many T.V evangelists. I have to be careful not to tar everyone with the same brush but many of these WF speakers are found on a channel called TBN, which we get here in England UK. Their teachings are based largely upon the belief that we as believers should all be wealthy and healthy. The means by which we 'recieve' this wealth and great health is through speaking, often repeating fixed phrases over our bodies. For example a man suffering with cancer should speak to that cancer and command it to leave. In order for that cancer to leave they teach that you must have faith in your own faith (gnosticism)and rely on your words to remove that cancer. God is effectively pushed to the sidelines. Word faith doctrine has no Biblical guidlines or bounderies. Every 'new' revelation and manifestion according to many WF speakers is of God.

"If a man walks down the street talking to himself claiming that God is speaking through him, we lock him up in a mental institution. If however that same man stands on a stage and tells the audience that God is speaking through him and wants you to give him your money we call him a Preacher"

Help me uderstand their doctrine: They believe that Jesus "Suffered" in Hades and "Born again" while in hell?

Hmmm,... What is it they believe Hell to be? Do they believe its a place where everyone goes, even the believers or do they believe it to be a place only for the wicked?

I don't know much of what they teach, but since you've listen to them before, maybe you can shed some light.
